Mother of the Believers

Subhana’Allah, as I sit hear and listen to this lecture on Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid,  I can’t help but be astonished at some of the traits she had. If you ever wondered why Khadijah is called “Mother of the Believers”, the lecture explains who she is from beginning until the end. It is important to know the history of the companions whom were close to the Prophet (SAW) in order to strive to be like them. Masha’Allah, Sheikh Shu’aib Webb has made this talk and lecture interesting enough for us to listen to.

It is always a relief hearing a good speech after you’ve been looking so long for one. Especially after all the ones that you attempted to listen to; were either monotonous, ineffective, and uncomprehending. I will post the video below so that you may listen to the speech as well. Alhamdulillah , May Allah help us become more like those companions who seeked the pleasure of Allah.

One Who Has Envy

Envy. A word that despises the righteous.

Envy. A word that plots and plans.

Envy. A word that has so many followers.

Envy. A word that hates and loathes.

Envy. A word that remains unjust.

Envy. A word that ignites an evil soul.

Envy. A word that must be put down.

Envy. A word that needs to be crushed.

For the one who has Envy…

Is is me.

Sayings of The Prophet:

Keep yourselves far from envy, because it eats up and takes away good actions, like the fire that eats up and burns wood.

Envy is not permitted except in two cases: (Envy) of a person who God has given wealth and he spends it in the right way, and (envy of) a person who God has given wisdom and he gives his decisions accordingly and teaches it to others.” – Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 490

By the way, that little excerpt up there  I wrote wasn’t really about ME. I just felt the need to write something…DEEP.

World Cup!

I haven’t written in here in forever! Well, as you can tell by my title, I’ve been watching the World Cup.

However, to tell the truth I didn’t even like soccer at all since last year. Just to let you know that I haven’t been a super huge Soccer fan forever.Ever since I went to My school last year and saw  how crazy they were over it, they got me intrigued in it, too.

I mean, even then I never really liked soccer at all. Then, I started playing it almost every day and now I can’t stop watching the World Cup!

The teams I like are:

Japan (Ofcourse)

I’m not really sure if Spain is still in or not. I’m still figuring out how they organize these things.

I heard from some super crazy soccer fans that Renaldo(Portugal) and Messi(Argentina), are like the 2 best players in the season right now. So that’s why I’m rooting for those teams.

I know that Brazil and Spain are like the REALLY good teams and that they one a lot of the past World Cups, and USA, surprisingly, are still in the competiton.

I love Japan in general so me wanting them to get far isn’t surprising. But I’m more surprised that they’re still in the game. Woohoo We can do it!!!

Yaum Al-Jumma is tomorrow, so I must have something fashionable/clean to wear. (I know, totally off topic XD ) Gotta get my Deen on check. Get myself ready for the Last Days. You should too!

Ma-Salama(arabic)! Abune(Japanese)! Tai-Chian(Chinese)! Ar-Voire(French)! Bye-Bye(English)! Sayonara(Japanese)! Asta-Lawego(Spanish)! Sampai Nanti(Indonesian)!

The Three People

Hadith Qudsi 6:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:

The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [ The Almighty] will say:

And what did you do about them?

He will say:

I fought for you until I died a martyr.

He (Allah)will say:

You have lied – you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous. And so it was said.

Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man who has studied [religious] knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Quran. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say:

And what did you do about them?

He will say:

I studied [religious] knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Quran for Your sake.

He(Allah) will say:

You have lied – you did but study [religious] knowledge that it might be said [of you]: He is learned. And you recited the Quran that it might be said [of you]: He is a reciter. And so it was said.

Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. [Another] will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say:

And what did you do about them?

He will say:

I left no path [untrodden] in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake.

He(Allah) will say:

You have lied – you did but do so that it might be said [of you]: He is open-handed. And so it was said.

Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

It was related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi and an-Nasa’i).

I Graduated!

Okay. I know I’m making it seem like I graduated FOR REAL, FOR REAL. I didn’t. BUT, I did graduate from middle school into high school, that enough, is great for me.

The only real graduate from high school, was Amir. Congratulations Amir! He had this whole speech and everything. Gotta give him props for that. Anyways, everyone was looking really nice. Sarah and I came late for graduation (as always), but we still made it there before we had to go up on stage. It was such a rush. To make it even worse, as I was saying part of my power point that our class had to present to the audience–I messed up.

*GASP*   “NO!”

Yes! It was horrible. Well, it wasn’t exactly horrible ( I just said one word incorrectly), however it was still a minor mistake. Ack!

I know I haven’t been writing in a super long time and all. I’m sorry( to anybody who actually reads this–and to Br. Dawud, mainly because he told me to write in it every single day, and so far I have yet to do that.)

Besides that fact, I’m mad at myself because I did so much over the past month that I’m ashamed for not writing everything down. In that month I had my last day of school, my field trip to Islands of Adventure, Sleepover at Sarah’s house (which was extremely fun but creepy as well), practice for graduation and award ceremony, The Award Ceremony, Field Day, Last 3 days of school, did I even mention anything about taking the Finals? If I haven’t told you them yet, well I took them and some were super easy, others? Yea… rather not talk about it.

Moreover I’m so angry at my self because if I had written those events that happened, I would’ve laughed a WHOLE bunch.  So much things happened and it’s pretty much to late to describe things in detail.

Now I probably won’t be seeing Sarah, Leen, Nora, and Lily again because they won’t be going to LPS next year. WAAH! I’m going to miss them so much. Insha’Allah I will see them over the break. Which brings me to saying something else. IT’S FINALLY SUMMER BREAK! WOOHOO! PLUS I SAW AYANA AT THE GRADUATION! I LOVE YOU AYANA!

Man, I miss that girl. She left me last year along with Iman, and now I miss them like crazy. Which means I’m going to be missing the others who will be leaving me, like crazy. Especially Sarah and Nora. I GOTTA see them over the break.

Anyways besides that, about how my writing is going. I haven’t been meeting my standards as far as writing goes. However, I have started this short story. Maybe I’ll upload the first chapter. By the way, I said SHORT story. If you know me, then you would be surprised because usually, my story goes on forever which deletes the factor of it being a short story and more into a Novella/ Novel. Insha’Allah this story turns out better than I expect. Have to keep making Du’a though. Without Du’a and Allah’s Will, nothing’s possible. So now I sould end this off with a closing Du’a, neh?

“Oh Allah, Guide us and keep us on the Strait Path, Have Mercy on us and keep us away from the evil. Oh Allah, Guide the Ummah to success in all that we do, so that we may be successful in the HereAfter.  Oh Allah, Help us get through this life with patience and perseverance. Oh Allah, Please help me have success in writing and help my family so that we may never go astray. Ameen.”

Dramatic Tuesday

April 27, 2010 Tuesday,

Omg. Sarah and I had the scariest moment of all! So we were downstairs after school, like usual, when Br. G comes out of no where and scolds us.

“Where are your parents? I didn’t hear your name get called!”

So we were all like,

and then I go,

“Well my dad is usually here  when school is over, so I just came down here out of habit.”

Well, that was actually true, so at least I didn’t lie. Anyways. Instead of going back upstairs, we sat down in the gym and talked for about 7 min. So then I figured

“Hey why don’t I go see if Abu’s (father)  here?”

Following my own desire. I walk outside of the Mecca Center/Gym, Sarah trailing behind me. I see no sign of Abu but I wait a little while longer, Y’know “Just in Case!”. That’s when Br. G comes from around the corner. Me and Sarah look at each other.

Oh Snap!

Only. There was no other place to go! Ahh!

Then we look to the right . The Bathroom!

YESS! We knew he couldn’t go in there! So Sarah opens the door and we run all the way to the back of the bathroom. Scared that he might burst through the door.  Tick Tock.

2 seconds later.

BANG! BANG! BANG! Right on the door. Why would he bang? So then, it stops.  We’re still a little stiff though. Later we calm down and we’re feeling all relieved, we still know that he’s waiting outside the door though.

Arrgh! WHY?! First he catches me and Fleen(not real name) about to do a spitting contest and now?

Me and Sarah head closer to the door to see if we can leave. That’s when we hear this voice talking to a woman. We are automatically thinking that he’s going to send someone in after us, We hurry back over to the mirror, trying to act all natural. Sarah says,

“Mrs. ME! Watch her come in!”

Soon after, the door creaks open. Our hearts beating 1000 meters per second, eyes wide as saucers. However, Mrs. L comes with her son , and for a second, I thought she was going to say something to us. Fortunately (Alhamdullilah!)  she says something to her little boy and walks on pass us, heading towards one of the stalls.

Okay, I know that was pr~etty close, neh? We stay in that room for about 15 minutes . Each and every 5 mins. we would check to see if Br. G was there. At one moment we were ready to leave. We cracked open the door. Sarah first. She peeks her head out to the left and looks no further. She turns back to me.

“He’s not there”

It’s my turn to look now.  Both ways this time.  I turn right.

Nothing. ..

Left. BOOM! BINGO. There he was , standing with Mrs. F and somebody else.  The principle of all people!

I pop my head right back up to wear  it was moments before.

“Omg Sarah. He’s talking to  the Principle! At least… I think that’s him.”

I whisper this back to her as if they could hear me from outside the doors. All I saw was blue, which was the color of the shirt he wore at the time. I needed her to confirm it.

“Sarah, go look.”

She looks left,

No reaction.

She looks right…

WAAAM! She jerks her head back and says,

“He’s talking to Mrs. F!”

She starts to walk back slowly with her hands covering her mouth. My heart was pounding. All this for being downstairs?!!!

When we were done with that. I think we stayed in the bathroom for about 20 mins. At least, that’s how long it felt to us. Finally. I go back to the door. No sound. Silence. Yes. That was a good sign. I opened the door and TADA! No one’s there. YAY! I see the van outside of the doors. Yes!  I’m leaving!

Sarah was all like,

“Waah, You’re just going to leave me here? Aww Mann.”

We laugh. She tells me that she’s going back upstairs.

On my way to the car Br. G comes out of the office and sees me . Oh. My. Gaash. Seriously? Here he comes.

And there I go.

Sayonara, Esta La Vista, Peace, Sahmenanti and Salams!
